Assignment Four
For this assignment, you need to knit something with two or more colors of yarn. The what is left up to you, based on what sort of item you want to make. To get you started on ideas, I've included a few suggestions below; if you've got a different idea, though, or just need help finding something you like, send us an email for approval or advice.

- Endpaper Mitts, a pair of stranded fingerless gloves;
- Falling Snow Stocking, a festive Christmas stocking;
- Goomba Hat, an intarsia hat based on the Super Mario Bros. creature;
- Knitted Companion cube, a stuffed toy resembling Portal's companion cube, using intarsia and stranded knitting;
- Little Bag, a charming bag featuring mosaic knitting;
- Maple, a knit bag featuring a single intarsia maple leaf on the flap;
- Missoni Inspired Chevron Blanket, a bold, striped afghan;
- Norwegian Star Earflap Hat, a simple hat with a traditional stranded pattern;
- OpArt, a really funky modern afghan;
- Penguin Pal Hat, an intarsia hat that's a penguin;
- Slither, a pair of eye-catching long mitts using intarsia;
- Winter's Coming, a simple but fetching stranded hat;
- Ravelry's search for free colorwork patterns, for which you need to be logged into Ravelry to view the results.

Extra Credit
Take a picture of your finished item in use — being worn, being used in some fashion, or just a really interesting, creative shot. Have fun with it. Send the picture (attachment or link) to knitting@cosmoschaise.co.uk. You can send it with the main assignment or on its own; if you send it separately, use the subject Knitwear Extra Credit 4 - ab123 (where ab123 is your HOL ID).
