For full credit for each answer, you must write a minimum of 100 words.

1. (10 points) Tell me the story of your staff -- pretend that you have one already or you intend to get one. How long would it be? Would you have the roots on top or stick to tradition? Of what is it (or would it be) made?

2. (10 points) When did it become 'popular' to have staves with the roots attached? Is this a fairly recent thing or is it of some ancient tradition? (Yes, I know somewhat of an answer to this, so don't just 'make something up'. *g*)

3. (10 points) Now that you've had a class on wand-making, do you really feel it necessary or desirable to have a wand or a staff? Why, or why not?
